Accreditors Seek Comments on 海角社区 Police

The 海角社区 Police Department is seeking accreditation from the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators.

An assessment team from the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators will visit the 海角社区 Police Department at the end of March, to examine all aspects of the department鈥檚 policies and procedures, management, operation and support services. The voluntary assessment is part of the department鈥檚 goal of .

Founded in 1958, the association is the largest professional organization dedicated to excellence in public safety and security in higher education. It provides resources in training, research, advocacy, education and professional services.

鈥淎ccreditation is not just a goal or a destination, it鈥檚 an institutional value,鈥 海角社区 Police Chief Joe Farrow said. 鈥淎 continual self-assessment, partnered with the leaders of our profession, helps assure our policies and procedures remain contemporary and responsive to the communities we serve.鈥

This is the first time that the campus Police Department has sought IACLEA accreditation. If awarded, accreditation lasts for four years, with annual reports.
